Recent Changes in Mutual Fund total expense ratio (TERs)

From 1April 2019 SEBI has asked Mutual Funds to revise their total expense ratio (TERs).

As on May 2019 the most expensive Large cap fund is Essel Large Cap Equity, 2.69 percent and Tata Large Cap Equity is the cheapest 1.47%, when the average is 2.23% for actively managed large cap fund. Other funds which may be mentioned here that ICICI Blue chip fund 1.76%, Mirae Asset Large Cap 1.77%, SBI Blue Chip 1.83% Franklin India Bluechip 1.87%. Hence investor must consider the experience ratio at the  time of making investment. Another important point is the difference in TER between direct and regular plan, which is 1.20%.

Passive funds will take important part here, since the average TER of the category is .36%. Thematic ETF's on Nifty Next 50, NV20 are available below are available below 0.25%.
